Laure de Sagazan x Atelier Rosemood

Our love story with French wedding dress designer Laure de Sagazan began in 2018, when we united forces to create a wedding stationery collection that celebrated the French know-how of our two ateliers. We had such a natural connection that both of us could not wait to write the next chapter of our story together; the creation of an exclusive minimalist wedding stationery collection, inspired by Laure’s love of recycled paper and the finesse of our hot foil stamping.

What made you want to create a second wedding collection with Atelier Rosemood?

We had a lot of fun during our first collaboration, and we just couldn’t shake the need to write the next chapter of our story together.

What inspired this new collection?

I really wanted to work with recycled paper. I have always loved the play on texture  that this type of paper offers and I think that there is a certain charm in its irregularity and imperfections. I also love the more precious side of the hot foil stamping we used on the first collection with Rosemood, so I kept this in mind too when looking for inspiration. The new collection blends these two ideas with inspiration from Japanese art.

What do you think both of our studios have in common?

Manual and artisanal craftsmanship are at the heart of both our ateliers and form the basis of our professions. We both have a desire to spread joy with what we do and both pour our hearts and souls into conserving age-old techniques, whilst making them relevant today.

What made you want to work with our hot foil stamping for both of your collections?

What speaks to me the most is the finesse and delicacy of hot foil stamping. I love the story behind it and how the look of it changes depending on how the light catches the foil.

What was it that attracted you most to our recycled paper for this collection?

First of all, I found the irregular and imperfect side of this paper particularly poetic. Then there was, of course, the fact that in today’s world, we are obliged to rethink how we consume resources, so I loved the fact that recycled paper fits into the world of upcycling.

If you had to match this wedding stationery collection to one of your dresses, which one would it be?

I think that I would choose an outfit composed of our Bartok top and our Morricone skirt. These items are united in their purity, all whilst having  a strong identity and a great style!

What sort of wedding decorations would you choose to match the style of this collection?

I would choose something quite minimalist, no-frills!

Has creating two wedding collections with us made you want to create other types of stationery?

I haven’t had the time yet to think about what is next for our collaboration but anything is possible!

And one last question! What, for you, is the secret to a perfect wedding day?

The best way to enjoy your magical day is to let go! Don’t try to control everything and definitely don’t worry about every detail being absolutely perfect. Simply savour every minute of your day and do only that!
