You will want to send your wedding thank you cards as soon as possible after your big day, but as a basic rule be sure to send them out within three months of your wedding.

Generally speaking, you will want to send wedding thank you cards to the following people:

  • Loved ones who were involved in the preparations, especially your parents and the bridal party.
  • Your wedding suppliers.

Write a list of everyone who attended the wedding and/or who has sent you a gift and then add a couple of extra cards to your order just in case anyone sends you a late gift and to ensure that you have one to keep in your wedding scrapbook or memory box.

What should I write in my wedding thank you cards?

You will want to adapt your thank you message to reflect whether you are thanking the recipient for attending your wedding, for sending you a gift or for helping organise your big day.
